GET ON THE BUS FOR WEST HILLS DAY CAMP’S 2010 GRAD CAMP
(Huntington, New York – November 30, 2009) – West Hills Day Camp is pleased to announce that it will be adding an innovative program called Grad Camp to the 2010 season. Selecting a college is one of the first important decisions young men and women will make about their futures. Grad Camp will help provide high school juniors and seniors with the knowledge they will need to select colleges that will best meet their individual needs and the tools they will need to successfully apply to the colleges of their choices – backed by the confidence of knowing that they have made the right decisions.
West Hills Day Camp’s star staff – along with 40 junior and senior high school students – will board a bus in summer 2010 and set out on a quest to discover the college of their dreams. Designed to give the students a taste of the various types of college experiences available, the tour will be highlighted by visits to: private colleges, state colleges, big city colleges, small town colleges, and Ivy League schools. Students also will participate in seminars on college preparation and introductions to sororities and fraternities.
The summer 2010 Grad Camp Calendar features visits to:
July 26-30 – Northeast and New England
August 2-6 – Washington D.C. and Maryland
August 9-13– New York August 16-20 – Midwest
In addition to learning about the college and universities in these various locations, Grad Camp students will have the opportunity to participate in exciting local attractions in each of these areas, including visits to Harbor Islands, a Broadway show, Niagara Falls, white water rafting, and much more.
